We can divide Jesus’ life into three phases
- Logos phase – i.e. pre birth
- Human Phase
- Exalted, immortal and eternal phase – i.e. post resurrection
During his human phase Jesus addresses YaHWeH as his God and Father. He prayed to his God just like men pray to their God. It is very important to understand that Jesus himself had a God. [Trinity does not occur in the bible because no such being exists. It is the invention of Trinitarians or false teachers]. Jesus as a human, put his trust in God to the one who would deliver him from death. Read more here: 57 of 100: Jesus had faith – i.e. He put his trust in his God.
In an earlier post [7 of 100: YHWH is “God and Father” of Jesus] we considered Jesus’s God and Father when he was human. If Jesus is your God, but Jesus’ God is Yahweh/Yahowah then aren’t you missing something? This post explains how this same relationship exists even after Jesus’ resurrection i.e. Jesus is not part of a trinity.
Now when Trinitarians declared Jesus as God and man, they declare a ‘hypostatic’ union while Jesus was a human. I.e., A being which is both full God and fully man. But a being which is God and man at the same time is neither God nor man but another species. [Read more here: 56 of 100: Why Jesus was 100% human and not a Hypostatic Union/ and how ‘in him all things hold together’]
Hence Trinitarians explain that Jesus prayed to God as a human but is a senseless statement as Jesus was also God as they claim. In reality trinitarians are concerned more with Jesus as God and not so much as man. Now the God Jesus prayed to; was it Jesus, Father or Spirit? Gospel records show us that he prayed to the Father and not to other members of the Trinity such as the Christ or Spirit.
After Jesus’ resurrection we suppose he was freed of the ‘hypostatic’ union and he emerged Only God and was re-united with the Trinity. So if Jesus is no longer human and is only God, then it follows that he no longer needs to be in subordination to the Father.
However, the records of Jesus post his resurrection show us that Jesus still holds the same relationship with his God as he had while in the human form. Just like when believers will get resurrected and granted eternal life and get glorified they still remain subordinate to the Father, so also Jesus the first resurrected and glorified human continues to be in subjection to his God and Father Yahweh. Resurrected and immortalised humans will continue to have Yahweh as their God and Jesus as their redeemer. So also the relationship of Yahweh and Jesus does not change post his resurrection.
Here is how Jesus taught us about his relationship with HIS God and OUR GOD:
To Mary Jesus explained after he was resurrected but while he was yet on earth
Joh 20:17 Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to MY FATHER and YOUR FATHER, to MY GOD and YOUR GOD.'”
- Jesus has a God and that God (Yahweh) as Jesus explains is also the God of Mary
- Jesus has a Father and that Father (Yahweh) as Jesus explains is also the Father of Mary
Is Jesus’ God your God?
Is Jesus’ Father your Father?
Trinitarians go to great extend in their practical worship to deny the God and Father of Jesus and his relationship with his God and Father. They exalt Jesus and undermine Jesus’ God. They have exchanged the truth with lies and replaced ‘MY FATHER and YOUR FATHER and MY GOD and YOUR GOD‘ relationship with the false relationship of the ‘trinity’.
To the Church of Sardis Jesus gave this warning:
Rev 3:2 Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of MY GOD.
Here we see a glorified Jesus rebuking the members of Sardis for their slack attitude. Jesus is made judge by his God Yahweh. Jesus is given authority to judge by his God Yahweh. So here we see a glorified and exalted Jesus (exalted and glorified by his God Yahweh) exercising authority but by no means in the form of a trinity but as human glorified by his God.
Notice how Jesus is interceding on behalf of the Father to the churches and how he still adresses the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as ‘HIS GOD’.
Again Jesus said:
Rev 3:5 The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before MY FATHER and before his angels.
So here we see the glorified man continuing the same relationship with his most awesome God as he had done on earth. Trinitarians teach falsehood as they turn this simple, true and pure relationship of the Father and son, God and man into a mysterious trinity.
To the Church in Philadelphia Jesus gave this assurance
Rev 3:12 The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of MY God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of MY God, and the name of the city of MY God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down from MY God out of heaven, and my own new name.
Notice how Jesus continues to call Yahweh as his God even while in heaven. In Revelation 3:12 Jesus addresses Yahweh as “MY God” FOUR times. Why?
Do you want Jesus’ God to be your God? If Yes, then give Yahweh his glory and accept him as your God.
Is not Jesus’ God greater than Jesus? Believe in Jesus but more so believe in the Father also. The Father sent Jesus. Jesus was God’s idea or logos. Do not fall prey to tradition. Santa claus is not real and Jesus was not born on the 25th yet Christians believe this. Why? Tradition! So also it is with Trinity. That which is False and traditional always seems more attractive than the truth!
To the Church in Thyatira Jesus explained that his authority is not of his own but by his father:
Rev 2:26 The one who conquers and who keeps my works until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations,
Rev 2:27 and he will rule them with a rod of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, even as I myself have received authority from my Father.
Notice how Jesus confesses his authority if from his God i.e. Yahweh the God of Moses. He also repeated this during his life as a human. See: Reason 32 of 100 [Authority of Jesus – From God or Self? Exploring scriptures from Moses’s prophecy of the coming prophet to fulfilment.
Just like Jesus was human we too are human. Just like the man Jesus was exalted we too can be exalted but Jesus will be higher than us and his God will be higher than him.
Joh 17:3 And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
Trinitarians know Jesus but do not know the Father and actively deny and undermine him. Christianity a religion devoid of knowledge of their God and the God of Jesus!
